Namsan Tower : Sightseeing places in Seoul

Namsan Tower is one of the famous landmarks of Seoul with the Han River. The height of the tower itself is 236.7m, which is low compared to other landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Tokyo Tower.

It was completed on July 30, 1975. At first, there was no observation deck, but after that, a sightseeing observation deck was constructed and the present tower was completed. In the early days, it was not open to the public because of security problems, but on October 15, 1980, the observatory was opened. And it was reopened in 2005. From this time, the name will be changed to N Seoul Tower. I do not feel old because all the facilities have been modernized and the interiors have been careful while undergoing remodeling.

The tower is made up of seven floors and is quite large, and the top of the T7 floor is an observation tower with a slowly rotating floor. Namsan, where Namsan Tower is located, also has the remains of the Choson Dynasty. This is also a highlight. There are many locks on the railings of Namsan Tower, because Namsan Tower is the place where lovers swear by their love. If you go there, you can see that there are many locks.

When the day is clear, observations can be made at Jamsil Bridge, which is 10km outside, and in the highlands of Eunpyeong, Dobong-gu and Gangbuk-gu. Unlike Lotte World 2, which can be observed in Yongin Shingal, Namyangju, Observation distance is short because there are many obstacles blocking it. It is possible to observe in Namyangju and Gangseo-dong, Guri-si. Observation was possible in Toegyeongwon-myeon, Namyangju city, but it was no longer available because of the redevelopment of Gullma-dong in Guri-si. Observations are also possible in the area of Sansung Station in Seongnam. Observations are also possible in the highlands of Gwangmyeong-si, Cheolsang-dong. It is possible to observe at the summit of Mount Hai-ryong between Pocheon and Dongducheon.

When lit at night, it turns red in some days and blue or green in other days. In fact, the lighting of Namsan Tower changes according to Seoul's atmospheric environment every day.
